Woman illegally collects workers’ compensation while working second job
A Waterbury woman was charged with illegally collecting $22,000 in Workers’ Compensation benefits Friday.
51-year-old Rosaura Rodriguez of 161 Prospect Street was collecting money for lost income while continuing to work her second job.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, she reported suffering from a work related injury in June 2015 when employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Saint Mary’s Hospital. By collecting workers’ compensation, Rodriquez would be unable work as a CNA and at her second job as a live in caretaker.
Rodriquez continued to work at her second job.
