Kenner woman booked with Medicaid Fraud
A Kenner woman who police said used another person’s identity and Medicaid card to get treatment at Ochsner last year was booked Sunday (April 19) with Medicaid Fraud, Kenner Police Lt. Brian McGregor said.
Kenner police issued a warrant for Sarah Loyacano’s arrest in January after Ochsner officials told police what had occurred.
Police said Loyacano, 30, used another person’s Medicaid card to receive treatment in June. The fraud was discovered when that person began receiving medical bills for treatment she had not obtained, police said.
Loyacano has been arrested before in Kenner. In 2013, she and her husband, Arthur, were arrested after police said they stole power tools, lawn equipment and other property from their neighbors.
Loyacano remains in Kenner Police custody on the Medicaid fraud charge. A bond has not been set.
Kenner police have asked anyone with information about Loyacano to call Detective LaShonda Woodfork at 504.712.2315 or Crimestoppers at 504.822.1111.
